Quick Weekend

We had a very nice weekend. Gianna made her first appearance at a UNC Athletic Event cheering on the #1 ranked UNC Women's Soccer team to a big 2-0 win over #10 ranked Texas A&M at Fetzer Field.


Sunday was pretty relaxing and we helped celebrate our friends' daughter Jane's second birthday at a local pool. Gianna was very sweet and slept most of the party.

Another Thursday with Daddy...

Gianna and Daddy enjoyed another Thursday afternoon together. Gianna had a few fussy moments, and is trying to find her post vaccine rhythm. She was so cute with her noises and finally took a nice 2 hour nap in the late afternoon!

10 WEEKS!

Gianna is climbing out of her "vaccine funk." She had a bit of a temperature this morning, but that quickly broke. She was full of smiles this afternoon and evening and was making the cutest noises in her efforts to talk. She was her smiliest ever in her bath tonight and her beauty continues to grow.


She also met her new buddy Will tonight!

2 Month Check up

Gianna had her 2 month check up today. She has been growing quickly and is now 50th percentile for her age cohort weight at 11 lbs, 8 oz, 25th percentile for height at 22 inches, and 30th percentile for her noggin (all from previous ratings of 10th percentile).



Gianna's two month check up also meant that she received four vaccinations. The first vaccine was oral (which she gobbled down as expected), but now has given her tummy trouble (which is normal). The Nurse was so quick with the shots, but Gianna's reaction was immediate and dramatic. After the Nurse put the cute Tweetie Bird Band Aids on Gianna, Michelle grabbed her and comforted her immediately and Gianna quickly went to sleep...



...the whole process took a lot out of Gianna and she slept much of the evening.

Labor Day

We had a nice relaxing Labor Day...


...with a nice visit to Duke Gardens and a fun day trying to catch up on our rest!

Reunion weekend...

Three of Michelle's best friends from Notre Dame came to visit us this weekend...




...Cooper is Ericka and Mike's little guy...




...and we all had lots of fun holding and playing with Gianna and Cooper.






Gianna had a really good day and seemed to enjoy all of the extra attention...(and maybe because the Tar Heel and Irish Football Teams won their season openers so convincingly! ;)

2 MONTHS!!!

Time continues to fly as Gianna met her 2 month milestone!



She spent some time intently checking out her guys (her toys hanging in front of her)...



...then Gianna celebrated her 2 months by going to Daddy's Softball game - her first of many athletic events.
