Finishing up 2010

Gianna is finishing up a great 2010...


...with a little bit of relaxing with the paper...

We went to a Tar Heel Basketball game...


...and while she seemed to enjoy the game...


...she really enjoyed her cookie that her buddy Shane gave her.

Merry Christmas

We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Christmas and Holiday Season.

Gianna had a great Christmas and Santa was very generous to her.


She was excited to get a "buggy" and 2 ELMOS!


About 4" of snow fell late Christmas Day and Gianna really had fun helping Daddy build a Snowman...


...and seemed to really enjoy sledding.

Christmas Parade

Gianna enjoyed her first Christmas Parade in Chapel Hill.


She liked the dancers, floats and costumes...


...but she really liked getting candy treats delivered to her.

Gianna doesn't seem to be bothered by the temperatures in the teens we've been experiencing...



...but she may be subtly suggesting what kind of weather...

Fall is Finally here...and almost gone.

Gianna had a great weekend with Mommy AND Daddy home.



She wanted to go for a walk with her buddy Violet and burn off some of that Thanksgiving dessert and enjoy the last of the pretty Fall Foliage.



She also wanted to ride in the backpack for a bit.


Gianna finished off a fun Holiday weekend by cheering on the Tar Heel Basketball Team.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Gianna continues to flourish. She's continuing to grow physically, expanding her vocabulary and continuing to test her limits.

Her sweet disposition is continuing to manifest itself and we continue to count our bounty of blessings on a daily basis.


Gianna recently got a car and she's been having a great time driving it around the neighborhood. Fortunately for her and us, it gets GREAT gas mileage! ;)


Gianna also really enjoys shopping. We went to the grocery store one recent evening when we lost power at our house. We were reminded of the "cleverness" of the product placement experts in locating desirable items at kids' levels in stores (of which she has some in her hands and is checking out some items in the display case).



Gianna stopped by to "dap" Santa after dinner the other night...Hopefully he remembers the "props" in about a month.

Trick or Treat

Gianna had a very fun time with her buddy Dr. Will and some neighborhood friends...


...she trick-or-treated at two of our neighbor's homes and was pleased with her treats.

Officially Autumn

So, it's technically Autumn, but our summer doesn't seem to have ended as the temps continue in the 80's...


Mommy had her golf tournament last week and Gianna did her best to help out.



We went for a nice "hike" by our house and Gianna really seemed to enjoy nature.

Scintillating September

Gianna started to appreciate her sunglasses as the hot summer temps and bright summer sun lasted well into September.


She's gotten pretty good at putting them on and taking them off...


...and likes helping to get the mail.

Mommy and Gianna found a nice park with some WEEE SWINGS!


We actually got some rain and cooler temps, and Gianna finally got to wear her cute rain boots and a jacket.


Gianna also had some fun riding a race car around the track a few times.

"HIKE"

Gianna gave Daddy a hiking back pack for his birthday last spring and we haven't had much chance to use it due to the HOT Summer that started so early.



Today was a beautiful day - mid 80's - with a nice breeze and Gianna reached for the hiking back pack instead of the stroller...



...so I put her in it, walked through the neighborhood...


...and did a bit of hiking, and Gianna really seemed to enjoy being "in" nature.

September Swimming

Gianna took Mommy and Daddy swimming tonight on another record hot day...Hurricane Earl pushed a high pressure system towards the Piedmont of North Carolina (where we live), so it was nice to get some relief!



Gianna was feeling pretty brave today and went under several times and was pretty pleased with herself as you can see.
