Nice visit is always too short

Gianna said bye-bye to her cousins and spent some nice time with Grandma Greco as we prepared to head home...

Gianna loves to jump...

...and gave Grandma Greco's arms a good work out...

...and then Gianna threw her head back in happiness...

Then they winded down with a little reading.

Christmas Time

Santa made it to the Greco Househould and all of us (particularly the little ones) were very excited and could hardly sleep the night before!

Gianna had lots of smiles visiting with friends and family and was so cute in her Christmas Outfit.

Merry Christmas!!!

Gianna is having a great time visiting with her cousins in Spokane...

Big cousin Nick has been very sweet to Gianna.

Millie loves her little cousin Gianna too!

The cousins took a ride on the historic Looff Carousel in Spokane which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

Gianna loved all the songs and lights.

Merry Christmas to all!

Euchre...

We had dinner with Cousins Luke and Mamie. Gianna was introduced to the Brunner Family Tradition of Euchre.

Gianna and cousin Mamie teamed up with Luke against Mommy and Daddy...

...Even though Daddy had TWO successful Loaners...

...Gianna's bold stratagems along with Mamie's Counsel were too much for Mommy and Daddy and the cousins and Gianna were victorious! ;)

...and Gianna makes the CUTEST Polar Bear we've ever seen...

Moving on up...

Gianna finally outgrew the chair in which she ate her daily cereal...

...and she seems to enjoy her new high chair...

...but eating is still serious business to Gianna...

...and she is usually satisfied when she's done.

5 Months!!!

Gianna continues to do well and today we celebrate her 5 Month Birthday. After a few weeks of reconnaissance, Gianna took her first few sips from Mamma's water glass and She was very excited about it.

We recently took Gianna to her first UNC Men's Basketball game at the Dean Smith Center.

She really seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and followed the action on the court. She didn't like the "substitution" horns - maybe because she didn't agree with Coach Williams' substitution decision?...or maybe because the horn was just too loud for her tastes.

The Heels won and Coach Williams earned his 600th career victory - Congratulations Coach!

Thanksgiving...

Gianna was a very happy girl these past few days to have Mommy AND Daddy at home...

...She enjoyed her fair share of Football on TV...

...and really enjoyed her first Thanksgiving at her buddy Will's House.

Gianna enjoyed picking out her first Christmas Tree.

She also seems to enjoy the cooler temps as long as she's got something cute & warm on! ;-)

Papa Greco's Business Trip

Mama was fighting some congestion over the weekend, but she's feeling much better now...So far Gianna has managed to stay very healthy and we're hoping and praying it stays that way.

Gianna is waving hi...

...as she plays with her "guys" while she's sitting like a big girl in her bumbo...

Papa's in town on a business trip and is able to stay a few extra days to spend some time visiting with his newest granddaughter.

Gianna was very mellow today. Maybe because the remnants of tropical storm Ida were pelting our house and she was just happy to be inside.

She was also a good eater today. She ate her cereal very efficiently tonight and then she grabbed her bottle to wash it down...

...and she was very pleased with herself! ;)

Indian Summer

We are enjoying a standard North Carolina Indian Summer with temps in the mid-70's this past weekend. Gianna brought Mamma to the UNC-Duke Football game and cheered on the Tar Heels (at least in the first half) to a big win.

We went for a nice long walk on Sunday. Gianna is "getting to know" her toys better.

14 lbs, 14 oz!!!

We had a great trip to Western NY and returned safely home, and while Gianna had a fun trip, we could tell she was pleased to be home.

Gianna had her four month well-baby check-up on Tuesday and she tipped the scales at 14 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 24 inches long! She's now above the 70th percentile in height, weight and head circumference.

We celebrated by introducing "solid" food to Gianna...

...and she had a few funny facial expressions...

...but she seems to enjoy her new food!

We took Gianna onto a near-bye recreational path - The American Tobacco Trail - for the first time today. She enjoys being outside.

Gianna borrowed this super cute caterpillar costume for Halloween as well...

Happy Halloween!!!

The family fun continued as Gianna and cousin Finley prepared for Trick or Treating...

Gianna passed on trick or treating this year, but she was the cutest Red Hot Chili Pepper that we've ever seen! ;)

Gianna was a good sport and had a fun time taking pictures with her cousins Aidan and Finley before they went out for the Tricks or Treats.

Visiting the Family in Western NY

Gianna was a champ as we made our way up to Western NY to visit Daddy's side of the Family...Gianna didn't think it made much sense to head South from North Carolina to Atlanta to get up to Rochester...after we were delayed an hour in Atlanta, she was quite frustrated and voiced her frustration quite forcibly to Mommy and Daddy and all the passengers on the plane...but once we got into the air, she calmed down and slept most of the way. Gianna was happy to see her cousin Finley and Grammi Brunner...
...and spend some time reading stories with Aunt Laura and Finley...

...Cousin Finley was happy to sing and read to Gianna...

We've had an adventurous visit so far and we will have many more stories to share!
