The Home Stretch

Just one month left to go...here's hoping it goes fast. We are ready for the baby's arrival. John has been crazy busy at work (above photo courtesy of our camera's self timer!) with Carolina hosting NCAA Baseball Regionals this weekend and most likely Super Regionals next weekend (if the Heels can pull out one more win today or tomorrow), so it's good that we have a few more weeks to go and work can settle into a slower summer speed for him. I am trying to get all organized at the foundation and do as much as I can to prepare for our Golf Tourney in October before the baby arrives. I'm waiting for this little girl to respond to my pleas to "drop" so that I can breathe while sitting in a chair, which right now is challenging. She is up high and pushing against my lungs and diaphragm, which is my only major complaint of pregnancy at this point. But of course, it will all be worth it soon enough!

Last night 2 of our friends got married on campus, it was a beautiful wedding and fun to watch another "match made within UNC athletics" tie the knot. The Hoots' had the unique idea of having a photo booth at their reception. Even though John only made it to the last 90 minutes of the reception (conveniently across the street from the baseball stadium), we managed to get our pictures taken before they shut it down.
