13 Weeks/3 Months = New Toys

Gianna continues to do so well and time continues to fly by. She's becoming more and more beautiful and very expressive. She is a very happy baby and smiles and talks all the time. She's starting to kick her legs more when she is excited, be more aware of her hands (and taste them often), and be more interested in her surroundings, especially her toys. She quickly responds to our voices with a big grin.

We got Gianna a new activity gym tonight and she seems to really enjoy it. She loves to grab the toys with her hands and swing them around. We were hoping to bribe her to be good on her second airplane trip in a week. Tomorrow we fly up to Notre Dame for a weekend of Irish football, Gianna's baptism, and fun with the Grecos and Matthews.

Home Safe and Sound

We arrived home safe and sound from Las Vegas. Gianna was a dream baby on the flight home much to Mommy and Daddy's (and all the other passenger's) delight...Here's some pics of Gianna enjoying the pool at Mandalay Bay...

and in the pool (for the first time)...

Daddy and Gianna shared a nap afterwards...

Vegas Baby...Vegas

So Gianna was a dream on our 90 minute delayed 5 hour flight to Vegas. She was also good in the Taxi from the airport to the hotel and had a great night's sleep at the hotel. Mommy had a long day of meetings in conjunction with The Athletes for Hope Meeting at the Andre Agassi Foundation K-12 College Prep School. Gianna and Daddy had a great day together. Gianna took some great naps, ate great, smiled alot and even went for an hour and a half walk (without ever leaving our hotel - this place is nutz!).

Gianna made some new friends including Tennis Great Andre Agassi who thought Gianna was so beautiful that he just had to come introduce himself...

...and Gianna's newest friend and one of the greatest female athletes ever, Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Later Gianna was pumping her legs like a sprinter - Jackie must have shared some training tips! ;)

Gianna's approaching the completion of her third month with us...pretty crazy. We celebrated her twelfth week by trying out her bumbo which she really seemed to enjoy.

Bear foot Pajamas and no naps...

Here's some cute Bear foot pajamas that Gianna now fits in.

We had a fun dinner with some friends at one of our favorite local restaurants and they brought along their little guy Will...

Gianna didn't want to sleep during the day today and it caught up with her (us) halfway through our dinner...when she had her first big public meltdown...but Gianna eventually settled down and finished off the night with a good bath, good feeding & is off to a good start of sleep for the night.

Gianna's 1st Carolina Football Game

Mama took Gianna to her first Carolina Football game today - a two touchdown victory for the Tar Heels! She was decked out in a UNC Dress and even had a Carolina Blue and White pacifier!

Gianna was a bit overwhelmed by all the people wanting to take a closer look at her beautiful face and the loud noises, but she settled in and seemed to have a nice time. She even stuck around and took in her first post game tailgate.

Gianna is taking a further interest in everything. She is increasingly aware of her surroundings - especially her "guys."

Here's a picture of Gianna in "mid-sentence"...

Here's a great shot of Gianna's generous double chin and healthy cheeks...

We had a nice relaxing Sunday and Gianna took some great hour plus naps!

Eleven Week Excitement

Gianna continues to grow and be very happy. Mommy accused Daddy of feeding her stones she seemed so much heavier when Mommy returned from work today! ;)

Gianna is a great sleeper at night, but continues to fight naps...but her demeanor remains mostly happy.

We are working on getting Gianna comfortable in her crib as she still sleeps mostly in her bassinets. Notice the cute little "pigtail" on this outfit.
